Fort Collins offers a diverse work force which allows for many opportunities for people in the area. Our major employers are CSU, Hewelette Packer, University Health Systems, Agilent, Avago, Advanced Energy, Anheuser-Bush, Otter Box, and many more.
The area is becoming know for our thriving beer culture with many microbreweries. New Belgium and Odell Brewing Company are two of the largest and they both distribute their beers nation wide. Our breweries have really worked on developing opportunities for people to gather have a beer, socialize, and listen to music while providing unique atmospheres for all to enjoy.
The Arts flow throughout our area especially live music events, all most every night of the summer one can go and listen to free music around our community. Along with our
nightly music we do have 3 large music events that take place in Fort Collins through out the year such as: Taste of Fort Collins, Tour de Fat, and New West Fest.
The Fort Collins Community is a very active area with biking being a major component of our day to day activities, therefore, we have over 200 mile of bike lanes for people to ride along our streets safely. Just minutes away from Fort Collins is Horsetooth Reservoir where one can go for a swim, paddle board, or water skiing/wake boarding. It is a beautiful spot to getaway to if just for an hour or two. Lory State Park is another great location to escape to for some peace and quite. Both areas allow for lots of hiking, mountain biking, running, fishing, and horseback riding.
I could write a book on all of what Fort Collins has to offer and why it is such a great place to live, there are just too many wonderful and amazing parts to the area. We are a very welcoming community with tons of opportunities for all types of people. I will go into more details on specific areas, events, shopping, and food in future Blogs. In the end, I love this area, it has been a blessing to live here and raise our family.
