The 1st Annual Holiday Home Tour took place the weekend prior to Thanksgiving.
The event was a fund raiser for The Voices Carry Child Advocacy Center in Northern Colorado. Their mission is to provide children who have experienced abuse, a safe place to share their stories, and receive necessary support. The event was a huge success thanks to all of the homeowner, designers, and volunteers. There will be a 2nd Annual Holiday Home Tour next year!
This year the Holiday Home Tour took place in a development just east of Fort Collins called The Harmony Club. The Harmony Club is a high end golf course community with custom designed homes. The focus is on quality and a rich active Colorado Lifestyle. Each home is custom designed, built to up hold the standards of the development, and the homeowners. The lots are set to emphasize the rolling terrain, open space, golf course, and the majestic views of the fabulous Colorado Rockies. The area is truly one of a kind in Northern Colorado…Simply Wonderful!!!
There were 4 gorgeous homes on tour. The families graciously opened their homes up to hundreds of people for this event. Each home and style were uniquely designed and decorated for the Holidays. There were 3 local Floral Designers that designed and decorated each property. One of the designers actually took on the task of decorating two separate properties. All of the designers did a magical job and really made each home feel like a celebration of our Holiday Season and Christmas.
One of the homes had a more modern clean line design and the Holiday Decor did not disappoint. The designer really embraced the modern style. Bath Nursery and Garden Design set out to create a modern magical twist on a winter holiday forest. It was striking. The colors focused on a pallet of blues, greens, and silver with a splash of red in just the right spots. The entrance was filled with a modern day Christmas tree made of white branches, white lights, and blue ornaments. It was the perfect decor for this entrance and home. Bath Nursery and the designer really took the time to decorate the home, in a style that fit the personality of the homeowner.
Two of the homes on the tour had a more old world style, with influences of Tuscany. However, each of them were incredibly different.
One of the homes was like walking straight into a Hallmark Commercial. The over the top Christmas everywhere was amazing. Palmer Floral Design Center did a wonderful job with infusing fresh floral creations throughout the home. The rich use of gold, deep greens, and a wine red was the perfect fit for this property. I toured this home when it was lightly snowing outside…it felt like Christmas. Palmer Floral Design picked the perfect pallet and tone for the holidays!
The other Tuscan inspired home was an amazing architectural under taking, it was a dream. The custom home felt like waking into a villa on the top of a hill in Tuscany…perfect. The old world styling was carried through out the home with the Holiday decor by Simple Home Floral Design located in Windsor. The deep reds and greens with accents of gold picked up the homeowners design sense. The traditional holiday color pallet was just what this home called for. The fresh floral arrangement were gorgeous, with red cranberries, and evergreens through out. It truly expressed the feeling of Christmas. This home was amazing. I think I could of easily spent an hour in just this one property.
Finally, the last property had a more traditional, modern blended style. The design for the property fit the warm feeling of the home, with a modern, rustic esthetic. The grouping of the 3 Pine Trees when one entered the home, was a modern twist on the traditional Christmas Tree. This design choice really set the tone for all the holiday decorations.
Downstairs in the family room the stockings were hung with care on the railing, with fresh cedar garlands. The bar area had a wonderful bouquet of beer, with Christmas Greens for entertaining. This is the perfect space for entertain friends and family for a special holiday gathering.
Three of my colleges and myself were proud sponsors of The Holiday Home Tour for The Voices Carry Child Advocacy Center in Northern Colorado. It is such a blessing to give back to our community. We are truly grateful to the homeowners, the designers, and the volunteers for all of their hard work. There is so much good in our community!
Thank You to All and Happy Holidays!
