New home anyone…?
The Parade of Homes is put on by the Home builder Association of Northern Colorado. The event takes place at the beginning of September each year and show cases New Homes in Northern Colorado. Each year different builders and home designs are on parade for individuals to view.
This event is free to the public and spans from Berthoud, north to Fort Collins, and east to Ault with many communities in between. We are entering into the second and final weekend for the Parade of Homes. The homes will be open for viewing September 14th, 15th, & 16th from 10:00am-5:00pm. There are over 2 dozen homes on tour from affordable townhouses to high end luxury show homes.
If one is thinking about making a move and would like to purchase a new home this is an opportunity to see multiple homes within varies communities across Northern Colorado. 
The different builders will offer a variety of home plans, finishing packages, and amenities per development. Many of the home builders are also offering incentives to purchase their homes during the tour. Some incentives include up graded options and others may offer money towards the down payment/closing cost for the purchase. Each incentive varies per builder and may require that a buyer uses the builders preferred lender.
Other reasons to visit the Parade of homes may include: new decorating ideas, and cutting edge design options for remodeling projects. When I go through model homes I often come out with many ideas I would like to implement into my own property…much to my husbands displeasure.
If you are thinking about building or purchasing a new home The Parade of Homes 2018 is a great opportunity to start the processes. The various builders will provide buyers with valuable resources.
Personal Tip-remember that when a building representative meets you at a model home that they are working on behalf of the builder. They are there to help you but they do not work for you. In addition, when you walk into most builders model homes they will ask you to register with them…one of the questions they will ask you is if you are working with a Realtor. If you say yes and give them your Realtors name then you will receive personal representation from your Realtor to help you throughout the buying processes. Having your own personal representative can be very valuable, especially when you need someone to advocate on your behalf.
