Loveland Colorado is a wonderful community that sits 46 miles north of Denver and and about 12 miles south of Fort Collins.
Over the past 5ish years the Loveland area and population has expanded quite quickly. The population in 2014 was recorded at 72,651…my bet is that the area sits at 100,000 people by now if not more.
For people moving to Northern Colorado Loveland can provide a more affordable cost of living especially when purchasing a home. Loveland provides people with great schools, easy access to multiple locations for work, and outdoor recreation opportunities.
The school district is Thompson R2-J which has 20 elementary schools, 1 K-8 school, 5 middle schools, 5 high schools, and 2 charter schools. The district does offer a school of choice program.
Loveland sits just at the base of the Rock Mountains. It is the primary access point for Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park Entrance. The Thompson River flows from Estes Park through Loveland and there are 4 main lakes for recreation…Carter Lake, Lake Loveland, Horseshoe Lake, and Boyd Lake State Park.
Loveland has 3 foundries and is a major supporter of the Arts. There are over 300 pieces of Art in the Publics Collection. Benson Park which sits next to Lake Loveland has over 100 sculptures on display with more being added each year. There are sculptures literally all over Loveland which one will notice as they drive around the community.
Loveland Sculpture in the Park is an event that takes place the beginning of August each summer. The event brings in artist from around the country and the world. This event has an amazing amount of wonderful art work on display…it is a must do.
Loveland is a major part of our Northern Colorado area where people come to enjoy all Colorado has to offer. If one is considering a move to Northern Colorado Loveland is a great community to consider for your home.
