This a must see before it leaves!!!

One of the best benefits to living in Northern Colorado is our proximity to Denver and all it has to offer. Over the years we have gone to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science every summer, as our children have grown, to experience different traveling exhibits.

Recently, we went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to see the, Leonardo da Vinci: 500 Years of Genius, traveling exhibit. I personally, have never been more impressed by a traveling exhibit before. This exhibit is amazing and well worth your time. The observer is walked through the life works of Leonardo da Vinci. There are recreations of his inventions to see, paintings, drawings, and writing of his work to experience. The influences of Leonardo da Vinci on our society is evident along with his pure geniuses.

The exhibit has a contemporary interactive structure and engrosses the observer into the life works of Leonardo da Vinci. There are interactive models, visitors are allowed to play with, which introduces the visitor to experience how they move and work. The interactive pieces are recreations of his drawings and bring his pieces to life. The multi-sensory cinematic experience room is amazing. I know that I sat there for at least 30 minutes taking it all in.

Then there are the recreations of his paintings, which is almost like seeing the real paintings. Plus, you get to learn about the history of the paintings and how they were created. I have been blessed to travel to Europe in the past and have been able to view his works in person. However, if you do not plan on ever going to Europe then this is the next best options, especially since it is many of his works in one place. Even if you are planning a trip to Europe I would still recommend going to see this exhibit.

Over all, we spent about 3 hours in the Leonardo da Vinci exhibit. I am planning on going back again before the exhibit leaves at the end of the summer. There is so much information to take in. There is also quite a bit of reading, however, they do have a walking listening tour, that can be rented. I would rent this if you are taking children, I think it really helps the information come to life.

The cost to see the traveling exhibit is an additional cost on top of the museum tickets. The tickets are also given a time slot to disperse the crowds which allows observers to move around easily. The Leonardo da Vinci: 500 Years of Genius will be at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science until August 25, 2019.

I give this a 5 star rating and hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!
