Are you looking to get away without leaving Northern Colorado? A night out with a wonderful glass of wine could be just what you need.
Recently, with all of the growth in Northern Colorado, we have seen an in-flex of new drink and food establishments. Our area is blessed with a wonderful diverse range of choices when it comes to dining out.
A good friend and I went on a little, local adventure. We chose to try something new which took us to Lirano Wine Bar on the south side of Fort Collins.
Lirano Wine Bar recently opened this past fall. It is an extension to The Wine Cellar which is located directly above the Wine Bar. The founders of The Wine Cellar and Lirano Wine Bar focus on seeking out smaller high quality vineyards from around the world. Then they import those wines for us to enjoy right here in Northern Colorado. Many of the wines are apart of their monthly wine membership and are able to be tasted in Lirano Wine Bar. Lirano’s offers wine by the glass, the bottle, or as a flight.
During our girls night out we each chose a different flight of wine. The flight consisted of 1 white wine, and 2 different red wines. The wines in my flight were from Span and California. I enjoyed all 3 wines, each of the wines had its own unique flavor and taste. The flight of wine I chose was in the middle pricing tier. Lirano’s offers 3 different levels of pricing tiers for their wine flights. The flights also come in a selection of only white wine or only red wine.
While sipping on our wine we ordered food to pair with our drink choices. Lirano’s pairs their wine with food inspired by the simple fresh cooking style of Italian cuisine. The Bruschetta is a classy touch of European cooking. There are also wonderful cheese, olives, and bread plates. We were having such a great time that we even stayed for dessert.
The establishment has a bit of a speak easy feel since it is located down a back walkway and under the building. However, the styling is like walking into a high end European Wine Cellar. The seating arrangements are comfy, allow for quality conversations, and will accommodate multiple group sizes. The staff is knowledgeable about the wine selections, helpful, and courteous.
Our evening at Lirano Wine Bar was truly wonderful and I am looking forward to my next visit. This is a location I will suggest often to friends for an nice evening out. I love wine so Lirano Wine Bar is the perfect spot.
